While I generally focus on predictable subjects, there are few experiences as exhilarting as catching the perfect wildlife shot. The first shot is from Kruger National Park, South Africa. We woke up early to drive around the park, and after going for about 2 hours without even seeing a bird, we started to see hints of wildlife. First, three hyenas walking on the road, then a pack a wildebeests crossing the road, then we came around a corner, and there was a pride of 15 lions just lying down in the road. We stared in awe for about 10 minutes, then one-by-one they ran off into the brush, as we drove by, I yelled to stop because this last cub was standing watch. He stayed still for about 3 seconds, just enough time to click off one of my favorites. Please click on an image below to enlarge it.
